The Rotary Engine
What is different about this engine is,
well everything. There are no pistons, or cams, or roller
rockers, etc, etc, etc. Instead, there are two semi-triangular
rotors, which orbit an eccentric shaft(same as a crank shaft for
you piston pushers) The engine is very small and lightweight, but
it is also very powerful for its size. There are many
peculiarities that I couldn't begin to explain, but if you are
interested, check out the Wankel
Rotary Combustion Engine(RCE) Page. It's a lot of reading, but if you want to learn
about the RCE, it is worth it.
