This page is devoted to my '84 RX-7. I am trying to start an RX-7
or rotary engined vehicle picture gallery, so if you would like
your car included, send me a picture
of it. Also, if you have any neat car audio installs, (especially
in a rotary) send me some pictures. If I get enough pictures, I
will also start a installs gallery.
My Ride
I am VERY proud of my
car, so I have to show it off. I have included description of my
current sound system, and Rx-7 in general, as well as things to
come.
SOUND SYSTEM
The Sound System is
constantly being changed(isn't everybody's?) but as of now, I was
running an Alpine CD head unit, but it got ripped off about a
month ago. I am using a crappy Jenson Tape deck until I can get
my grubby little hands on a Pioneer. I ahve Pioneer 4" 2way
coax's ,running off the stock Clarion Amp, up front in the doors,
Sony 6 1/2" 3way coax's in the rear, and a pair of Jenson
G.R.I.P. series 10" bandpass subs running off of a 400-watt
Precision Audio amplifier, and external crossover. The next
upgrade is in progress as we speak: A custom built box, to house
the 6 1/2's and two 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch Subs. This is
a much welcomed addition, because I was getting tired of the box
just sitting in the back of the car. It was pretty ugly. After
that, the Pioneer 4"s up front will be replaced with
Infinity Kappas, and the Alpine will be sacrificed for a new
Pioneer CD.
ENGINE
I just recently put a
new heart in my baby. I would like to thank Mr. John
Lockwood of Michigan for his
EXTREMELY Valuable help with this task. He is a distributor for
Hayes Rotary Engineering, as well as the Founder of the Mid-
American RX7 Club. I am not sure of this E-mail address, so if
you can't get a hold of him, let me
know, and I will send you the
correct address. Some of you may know, and the rest of you have
no clue about what is different about RX7s. It just so happens
that the RX7 has a Rotary engine. You can learn more if you would like. I just installed a new
engine, and this beast haull *ss. No real mods yet, just Accel
racing ignition wires, but HP mods are on their way. I will be
adding a Racing Beat
exaust sytem, and a lighter flywheel(from an '81 RX7) with a
street/strip clutch, from RB as well. Also on my agenda is a
Holley or Dellorto intake.
EXTERIOR
The exterior will be
gatting some major improvements. I am looking for some custom
wheels. If you know how to get a hold of MOTO Wheels, PLEASE E-Mail me!) The car will be painted in May with a
blueish siver, with emerald green pearl. (Sounds ugly, but looks
great!)
