The Master's Chamber

You glance around this seemingly-empty chamber, but a slight movement catches your eye. A shadowy figure approaches you, and you presume this to be the master of this unusual place.
"You've done well to make it this far, so I bid y'welcome in my sad excuse for a homepage. I s'pose that, since y'came to this room, you wanna know a little bit 'bout me. Fine, very well. Let's talk 'bout pathetic lil' me then."
Name: Ian, it's the British equivelant of "John" I believe. An uncommon variation of a common name. Just splendid.
Appearance: See the pic above! :) Err, okay so I don't gotta pic to put on the web yet, no scanner, an' too lazy/cheap to go to Kinko's to use theirs. Oh well.
Date o' Birth: 14 November 1977 (I'll put this instead so I don't gotta update my age every year) <lazy>
Height: 5'7" or so. I'm not a midget, but obviously you won't see me playing on a basketball team anytime soon.
Weight: 'bout 120 pounds...aah quit your damn laughin', oddly enough, I appear quite normal despite that really low figure. Guess it's just lightweight bones.
Hair: Short, warm brown, thick, an' wavy. I guess that's a decent description of it. Only thing I don't like about it's the fact that my hair grows 'out' rather than 'down,' so when it's taller than 1-2 inches, it's time for another trim. It grows like a weed...
Eyes: I happen to have 2, and they're bluish-greenish grey. Yeah, somethin' like that.
Facial Hair: Some. Luckily it just seems to grow on the upper lip an' chin, and has daily meetings with the electric razor. I have no desire to look like a yeti, so I hope too much more doesn't start springin' up.
Glasses: <mutter> yeah, got contacts too, but thanks to the wonders of stigmatism, I see better with glasses so I wear those more often. Bah.
Sexual Orientation: Straight, yet not homophobic. I can appreciate beauty regardless of gender, but I sure won't get a wood in the locker room, and if I drop the soap, I sure as hell won't bend over to pick it up. :)
Musical Preference: Uh...just about everything from classical to heavy metal to just about everything in between. Anything with the name 'Tori Amos' in it's sure to be a hit with me. In fact, the midi playing right now is 'Precious Things', from her 'Little Earthquakes' album. Too bad midis lack the most breathtaking aspect of her music--her extraordinarily-expressive an' wonderful voice.
Hobbies: Writing, drawing, listening to music, playin' video games, this web page, an' a buncha other stuff I can't think of at the moment. Basically, I enjoy delving into the creative aspects of things, if that makes sense. As for the crap listed above, obviously, I do some of those hobbies more so than others (take this web page for instance....)
Religion: Well, until I nearly lost a good friend of mine, I didn't think there was a god, but a combination of how he survived, as well as the fact I've always been fascinated with the unknown, being the dreamy type I am, has forced me to think more openly about the matter. (talk about a run-on sentence, sheesh!) So anyway, I guess a small part inside me refused to allow me to entirely doubt the existance of heaven, hell, and similar things. Whether or not heaven is a white pretty place with fluffy clouds and fat angels strumming their harps, or whether hell is a pit y'burn in while some red guy stabs you in the ass with a pitchfork, is something else. To me, that aspect of religion is bull. I believe heaven and hell are, instead, something one holds within. Have faith in yourself, respect others, (until they give you reasons not to--I'm not sayin' be naive) follow your concience, and you'll achieve this internal 'heaven'--hate yourself, blame others for your own problems, disregard the rights of others, be they human or animal, and you've bound yourself in a living hell which only you can drag yourself outta. I could fill page after page with shit like this, but I'll stop here, as the focus of this page is 'me' not 'my beliefs' or whatever. Y'probably don't give a damn anyway. :)
Dislikes: People who are arrogant, deceitful, people who try to push their values in my face 'cause their right is the only right that can be, (in their eyes) people who hate just to hate, self-righteous people who disregard animals as 'just stupid animals' (people relations come an' go, but, a good pet is with ya 'till he/she dies) People who disregard the opinions of others--I could go on an' on. Sad part is, 99% of the people in the world are those listed above, which is why my 'circle of friends' is so small. To me, however, 1 quality friend is worth more than 1000 lying, backstabbing 'friends.'

Well, that just 'bout sums up me up for now, but worry not! I'll add more categories when I think o' them, 'cause I'm sure you're just dyin' to know more. <smrk>
